Seasons Guide

Patch 1.2.0 introduced a brand new feature, seasons! Seasons will affect the landscape of the world and provide certain positive/negative effects.

To see the current season, weather and day, you can use /seasons. Although this information is already available on the scoreboard.

And to see the current effects, you can use /seasons effects.

Each season lasts 30 in-game days, and the weather changes every day as well.

And finally, during the night cycle, the weather is calm... but be careful with the mobs!

Autumn

A cool breeze whispers to the leaves that fall from the trees.

Breezy:

» Hold Onto Your Hat: 33% chance that any light "hat"/helmet you put on will blow off.

» Wind in your Boots: 10% chance for players to get Speed 1 for 20 seconds every 2 minutes.

» Icy: Any water you place down will turn into ice!

» Frostbite: If you don't have full armor on after 10 seconds, you'll start to take damage until you do.

Survival 1.2.0 Patch Notes

Hewwo cuties! We have a new major update here that is mostly Quality of Life changes, but there is also a few new features, so let's get right to it!

Content Updates

ADDED SEASONS

Seasons have arrived to the server! A season lasts for 30 Minecraft days and every one contains unique effects that change every day that will change the landscape of the world. A guide will come shortly to explain all of the effects. Nights are safe as well and don't have any special effects.

TWO NEW ITEMS

Two new items have been added! Diving Helmet and Flippers. These are items that can drop from Drowned and can have 3 different levels. A Diving Helmet allows you to breath underwater and removes the mining speed nerf underwater. A flipper increases your speed underwater and also removes the mining speed nerf underwater.

NEW AQUATIC MECHANICS

Added a few new mechanics for the oceans!

»  Added a few particles when swimming and breathing underwater.

» You can also use ink sacs underwater to create a temporary cloud of ink, just like squid.

» You can also hook real fish now! If you can catch a fish entity, reel in, it'll be yours! Another fishing change is for Tridents - Throw your trident with Loyalty, kill a fish, and its drops will automatically return to you along with the trident!

» And finally, we have one-block swimming. You can now enter swimming mode by looking down at the water, pressing shift and you should start swimming.

SCOREBOARD TOGGLE

Don't like the scoreboard? You can now toggle it using /scoreboard!

Balance Changes

Boats

  • The exit point of boats has been changed from the water to the top of the boat.
  • Boats can no longer be destroyed by arrows.
  • Added a boat pickup range. This'll pickup all items nearby the boat. Set to 3 blocks for now.

Developer Commentary: This changes are done so players can fish in the middle of the ocean and gather resources without too much trouble.

Turtle Eggs

  • Can no longer be destroyed by players standing on top of them.

Developer Commentary: This is mostly a QoL change so players can watch the turtles in the beach without fear of killing their offspring.

Heart of the Sea

  • Now applies an underwater swim speed to players who have this item in their inventory.

Developer Commentary: This should make this rare item a bit more useful.

Bug Fixes

Messages

  • Fixed some messages not properly translating hex colors. Some parts are still not hex-compatible, most notably, the chat.

Levels

  • Fixed level up message not appearing.

If you find any bugs, as always, please report them!

I think that's all for this patch. Stay strong cuties, love you all <3

Survival 1.1.0 Patch Notes

Hewwo cuties! Here we go with another update. This is our first major update, which includes the 1.16.2 update, and a few more changes. Let's go over them.

Feature Updates

1.16.2 Update

The server has been updated to 1.16.2! Enjoy the new Nether Update contents, along with the new possibilities this enables. The power level will surely increase from things like netherite, so balance will be observed over the following next weeks. There may be a few bugs as well.

Particles Rework

With the 1.16.2 update, our old trails plugin is not working anymore and is not updated. So we have changed to a new particles plugin that allows a LOT more of customization. Gamers can access ALL trails now, but only a single style, and only store 3 groups, and have 3 particles at the same time. Meanwhile Champions have access to all trails and styles, store up to 5 groups and have 5 particles at the same time. They also have access to fixed trails, which allows them to create particles on a fixed place. Only up to 5 for now. Use /trails to see it!

Removal of Crates

This is a personal choice. I don't like gambling elements. I originally added crates because I thought they were fun, but then I saw other servers and I hated it so much, so I've decided to remove crates for now.  It's very unlikely they'll return, and if they do, they'll only offer cosmetic items.

Nametag Rework

Yet another nametag rework! This one should FINALLY fix all issues with the nametags. We'll see how it goes.

Nether Map

Due to the nether update, the nether world has been reset so you can find all of the new stuff. Enjoy!

Bug Fixes

There have been a lot of minor bugfixes in this update, too many to list here. If you find a bug, as always, please report it so we can fix it as soon as possible.

Thank you for all the support cuties, stay strong <3

Official L3tPlay Rules about 1 month ago

August 28th Update: Modified rule 4.5 to mention that legacy items do not apply, and removed mention of unsafe enchantments since unsafe enchantments are used quite often now.
